Activities and Sport Weekly Update - Mar 6
Badminton Soar in Vietnam
Last weekend, 8 boys and 8 girls represented Concordia at the SSIS Badminton Invitational in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. We competed against 7 different teams, including both high school and college players. It was a challenging experience, but it pushed all of us to improve and step outside of our comfort zones, which is what mid-season is all about.
Throughout the tournament, we gained meaningful experience and grew not only as players, but also as teammates. We constantly supported each other during matches, cheering from the sidelines, giving advice, and being there for one another no matter the outcome.
Outside of the games, the late-night bus rides, team dinners, cooking sessions in our hotel rooms, and even meditation sessions helped us bond and build a stronger sense of community. Looking back, we’ve learned a lot from our mistakes, our emotions, and the ups and downs of the weekend. This trip showed us that badminton isn’t just an individual sport, but a sport of teamwork and trust.
