Service Initiative of the Month: Blue Harbor

This April, in honor of World Autism Awareness Day, we’re spotlighting Blue Harbor, an organization working to create a world where children and young adults on the autism spectrum have equal opportunities and are fully included in society.
Our Mission
Blue Harbor equips autistic individuals with essential life skills for independent living while raising awareness to reduce stigma. By bridging the gap between autistic individuals and the community, they foster understanding, acceptance, and inclusion.
Partnership & Activities
Our Concordia club partners with Blue Harbor and Indigo, joining forces with other schools including SAS, Dulwich, and Shanghai Jiaotong University IB International Curriculum Center.
Past initiatives have included:
Raising over ¥2,000 through the Fall Festival and Christmas Bazaar.
Hosting classroom visits to promote awareness.
Participating in interactive events with autistic adults, such as soap-making and talent shows.
Creating a high school message board of encouragement for the community.
Providing English lessons to support communication skills.
