PSO Weekly Update - Apr 10
1. Easter Celebration
In celebrating the significance of Easter, PSO prepared cupcakes for the teachers and staff of the entire school on Monday, April 6, right after the Easter All School Assembly. We are blessed with so much abundance in material and in spirit, for which we are eternally grateful.
2. Exploring Pickleball
On March 24, the Concordia PSO Explorer Club hosted a lively group activity - Exploring Pickleball.
Over 20 Concordia parents, alumni, and friends gathered for this fun-filled event, which served as a wonderful opportunity to build community across school divisions. Parents from EC, ES, MS, and HS all came and play together, highlighting the event’s broad appeal.
Many attendees were new to Pickleball, but that didn’t stop anyone from diving right in. Participants learned the basics—from serving and catching to hitting, along with key game rules and scoring.
After just a few lessons, everyone was confidently playing doubles matches. The three hours flew by, and it was clear that a great time was had by all! Go phoneix!
Exploring Pickleball was held at Pickdan Sports Center.

3. Senior Treats Day
On March 17, Grade 12 parents organized a special Senior Treats Day to celebrate our soon-to-be graduates and create another memorable moment in their final year. It was truly a heartwarming example of the strong parent community supporting our students during this important milestone.
A special thank you goes to our lead parent, Cynthia, who delighted everyone by making the signature egg waffles inspired by Happy Lemon. Our amazing volunteer moms worked quickly and enthusiastically to prepare these delicious treats, and it was a joy to see students lining up and returning for more. While the treats were being prepared, parents were also hard at work recording graduation videos.
Students shared reflections and memories, while parents recorded heartfelt messages and well wishes for the Class of 2026. These recordings will become treasured memories as our seniors prepare to say goodbye to Concordia.
Meanwhile, the Graduation Committee continues to work diligently behind the scenes to finalize the remaining details of the graduation celebrations. The team hopes to complete preparations by April so families can enjoy a smoother and more meaningful transition into May’s graduation events.
As Spring Break approaches, we also look forward to hearing more university decisions over the coming weeks. We wish all our seniors the very best and hope they receive exciting news as they take their next steps. Congratulations to our Grade 12 students — your Concordia family is proud of you and cheering you on!
4. Socks Party
On April 9th, we celebrated Theme Dress Day with this month’s joyful theme: Socks Party. All the EC children put on their favorite socks and also worked together at school to color and decorate their own special, colorful socks!
