Concordia students participate in international performing arts festivals that extend their learning beyond our campus and connect them with a larger artistic community.
Through APAC, students take part in regional festivals in Band, Choir, Orchestra, Theatre and Dance alongside other member schools across the Asia Pacific region.
Through AMIS, student musicians work with international conductors and educators in high level music festivals.
Through ISTA, theatre students explore storytelling, ensemble work, devised theater, and creative risk taking with peers and artists from around the world.
Through ACAMIS Arts Festivals, students engage in additional collaborative arts experiences with international schools in China and the region.
These festivals give students the opportunity to represent Concordia, collaborate with peers from other schools, and learn from guest artists, conductors, clinicians, and directors. The value of these experiences goes beyond performance. Students grow in confidence, independence, cultural awareness, artistic discipline, and maturity. Directors benefit from meaningful collaboration with colleagues across schools, while participating schools strengthen their programs through shared learning and a common commitment to excellence in the arts.
Concordia has had the privilege ofnd perform together on our campus. As we eagerly await the completion of our brand new Performing Arts Center, Concordia will continue t hosting APAC Performing Arts festivals in the past, welcoming students, directors, and guest artists from across the region to learn, create, this tradition by hosting future festivals and events, serving the larger international school arts community and giving our students a front row seat to the collaboration, hospitality, and excellence that define these experiences.
