Stronger as a Community
Thank you to our Parent Volunteers
This week, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents who volunteered to share their culture with our kindergarten students. Through your contributions, students experienced firsthand how we are part of a global community. Your partnership makes learning deeper and more authentic, so thank you for your support.

Faculty Highlight
Over the weekend, some of our Early Childhood team attended the ACAMIS Early Childhood Conference, joining educators from across Asia for two days of learning, reflection, and inspiration. We left feeling deeply encouraged and affirmed in the work we do each day with your children.
Much of what was shared about nurturing capable learners, supporting students language, and creating intentional environments of inquiry echoed the practices already happening in our classrooms. It was a wonderful reminder that the approaches we use at Concordia are aligned with global best practice and truly support children’s growth and joy.
We’re excited to bring this renewed energy back into our community and continue strengthening the learning experiences your children receive every day.

Parent Tip of the Week
Joy grows through mindfulness and simple rituals.
Joy doesn’t have to wait for big events. It thrives every day. Mindfulness research shows that being fully present helps families savor small, meaningful moments. When parents slow down to notice the smell of dinner cooking, the color of the sky, or the sound of laughter, they model joy in the present. Family rituals (like bedtime stories, Sunday pancakes, or weekly walks) anchor these feelings of comfort and belonging.
This week, try having a Joyful Noticing Walk: Take a short walk together and each share one beautiful, funny, or surprising thing you notice. Collect some leaves and share in the joy that is available to us in every moment.
