Student Council Updates - February

Welcome, or welcome back to the StuCo articles! I’m reporting on behalf of the StuCo members who have some exciting news for you! 

<StuCo Newsletter> 

The StuCo Newsletter team has been working on the first-ever edition of the Stuco Newsletter, which will be released in February.  The first edition consists of an events calendar, quotes, and a funny and comical entertainments section! The twist is that any MS students can show off their creativity and submit short stories to the newsletter as well in the future!  MS students can stay tuned for the first issue to be sent out! 

 <StuCo Video Team>  

Recently, the StuCo Video Team also released their second video with new reminders for the Middle School to watch, entertaining viewers from start to finish. The content includes reminders for students to wear warm garments during this cold weather, using our laptops for educational purposes and not slam lockers for the safety of others, and to protect their lockers. The video has been playing during lunchtime to remind and entertain the students. You can view the video using this link: Video2FullVersion.mov 

<StuCo Elections> 

Here’s an early reminder that the StuCo election process will begin in late April! Candidates in current seventh and sixth grades will be preparing speeches, and posters by first picking up application packets. April is still somewhat far away, but StuCo feels now is a good time to start thinking about the elections! Updates will be shared with MS community as we get closer to the elections!
