February and March Updates
We hope that you take the opportunity to visit our ACAMIS VEX Robotics Championship on Campus this weekend. This event features teh top international school teams from around China and will be hosted in both gyms. February 12th we will hosting our annual Chinese New Year celebration and assembly on campus. Parents can join us at 8:30 am for this wonderful tradition. As we round out February, our Course information Evening will be held on February 27th, starting at 5:30 pm in the HS Gym for our incoming grade 9 - 12 students to learn more about their high school course options. We will host our final Phoenix Friday for the season on Friday, February 27th as we enter our season three competitive season. March brings our APAC Season 2 Fine Arts and Robotics competitions from March 4th to 8th. March 11th is the first of two performances with our HS Band and Strings followed by the HS Choir on March 25th.
Student Travel for Vacation and Assessments
There have been students sharing with their teachers that they might be departing early for Chinese New Year. As a reminder, teachers have schedule classes and summative through Thursday, which will be a normal class day for the high school. Teachers may be giving tests or projects maybe due Wednesday and Thursday. Students are expected to submit all project work on time. We expect students to be present for summatives and seated assessments when they are assigned next week. Please support our childrens education by planning travel days during vacation times.
Course Information Night
We are excited to invite all parents and students to attend our Course Information Evening, an important event designed to provide insights into the pathways available to students and about the diverse range of courses offered by our departments. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the educational reasoning for our course sequences, explore academic options, connect with the subject teachers, and gather information to help guide your course selections and academic planning.

All students and parents should attend this event. Your presence will ensure you are well-prepared to choose and find success in courses that align with your academic goals and interests.

Promoting Food Sustainability Podcast
Our high school students have begun addressing the topic of food sustainability at Concordia. This first podacast is the beginning of an ongoing series of content regarding food sustainability and its impact on our community. See the flyer below for more information and scan the QR code to hear this first interview.

Advocate for Change: Collective actions can lead to significant imporvements, encourages your peers at school, and at home to adopt more susbtainable food practices during meals.

Updates and Reminders
At this time of the year, parents are on campus and enjoying connecting with others. This is a friendly reminder that we want parents on campus partnering with our teachers. Our teachers are happy to work with parents and support you. Please remember that these are teaching spaces and busy. If you wish to visit a teacher or classroom, please communicate with the teacher for permission and scheduilng. Parents need approval for classroom visits and are not permitted to just drop in. Please reach out to your child's teacher, or the HS Office for more information or if you have any questions.
