The inaugural Senior Saturday Retreat, organized by the high school counselors, provided an invaluable opportunity for the senior class to connect, collaborate, and prepare for the college application journey ahead. The day-long event focused on strengthening class bonds through team-building activities while equipping students with essential tools for their college applications and post-secondary plans.
A highlight of the retreat was the mock admissions session, which gave students firsthand insight into what college admissions officers look for in applicants. Students also participated in specialized "destinations sessions" tailored to various application pathways, including Korea, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Canada, and the University of California system .
Seniors engaged in a session centered on reconciliation and affirmation, fostering deeper connections within the class. After their time of class bonding, the students were treated to Shake Shack for lunch, adding a special touch to the day.
Beyond the practical college preparation, the retreat emphasized community building. Through collaborative activities and shared experiences, seniors built stronger relationships that will support them through the challenging months ahead, making the retreat a memorable milestone in their final year.
