This week, we celebrate the valuable work our team leads and other colleagues did with our math consultant. They partnered with students, teachers, and parents to strengthen mathematical learning across the Elementary School. We are also excited to welcome students and families to our new playground. We encourage all families to review the guidelines for safe use. Remember to schedule your appointments for the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences and be sure to mark your calendars for the many exciting events leading up to the December holidays. We hope you enjoy this week's highlights!
Math Consultant
This week, our K-5 team continued their exciting work with our math consultant. The level of collaboration and shared thinking has been inspiring and teachers worked together to deepen their understanding of assessments, strengthen the use of manipulatives, model lessons, receive feedback, and engage in meaningful coaching conversations.
Through this partnership, we have made significant progress in unpacking our math units, refining instructional practices, and developing even stronger assessments to support student learning and growth. We are excited about the impact this work will have on both teaching and student achievement.

ES New Playground Opens
We are excited to share that students are now using our new playground during their PE lessons and recess.
A few important reminders for when the playground does open:
The playground will be available after school from 3:50 PM to 5:00 PM.
Be sure that all children are actively supervised by a parent or guardian at all times — this means the responsible adult should be with their child on the playground and not in a separate area of the school
Use of the playground after school hours is at your own risk
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Enjoy this wonderful new space!

Mark Your Calendars - PTC Coming Soon!
Parent-Teacher Conferences are a vital part of our commitment to fostering strong partnerships between teachers and parents and they serve multiple purposes:
1. Connections: PTCs provide an opportunity for teachers and parents to establish meaningful connections, build professional relationships, and reinforce open and constructive communication between stakeholders. Our aim is to understand each other’s perspectives, values, and needs which contribute to a holistic approach to education.
2. Conversations: These conferences provide a meaningful opportunity for teachers and families to reflect on and discuss each student's progress, strengths, and areas for growth both academically, and social-emotionally.
4. Feedback: During PTCs, teachers highlight positive aspects of a student's performance, showcase samples of learning, and discuss plans for challenges or opportunities for growth.
