G3 Explores Weather & Climate
Weather is the day-to-day variation of the atmosphere’s condition locally. Climate is the variation of weather conditions over long periods of time, usually years. Meterologist, weather, climate, prediciton, temperature, forecast, precipitation, air quality, wind and rain. These are some of the key vocabulary our G3 students researched and used in their writing to better understand weather and climate.

G4 Explore Earth Systems
Earth is the only planet in our galaxy that can support life. Scientists estimate that Earth is home to about 300,000 plant species, over 600,000 species of fungi, and about ten million animal species. Our G4 students have been studying how humans engage with Earth and the impact of our actions. Rapid changes like volcanoes, earthquakes, and floods and slow changes such as erosion, root and ice wedging, and global warming continue to cause concern. They are also thinking of ways to make a positive diffrence .

G5 Solve & Explore
G5 continues to build critical thinking, rigor, and high expectations in academics. In math and science, students are using the design thinking cycle to explore ways and solve problems. Students see themselves as contributors, problem solvers and owners of their learning journey.
