Parent Support Organization (PSO)
As the parent community of Concordia International School Shanghai, the Parent Support Organization (PSO) is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the holistic experience of its members and especially the students, as well as fostering community and helping each other manage the transitions of life in Shanghai.
In partnership with the school, the PSO works to:
- Enhance the Student Experience
- Build a Vibrant and Supportive Community at Concordia
- Connect Parent Talent with Classroom and Other School Needs
- Encourage School Spirit among Students and Parents
- Raise Funds to Support Yearly Activities and the PSO Program Grant.

Learn how to navigate your new environment from parents who've seen it all. You'll hear about food and clothing markets, online shopping and even get helpful information about the Chinese medical system. You'll also learn how to use Aspen to see your child's class schedule, grades and homework. This event is full of practical tips.

The whole community will come together to share a family meal, enjoy sporting and games provided by some of our local partners, and learn more about how families connect at Concordia. We will top the evening off with a movie in the PC Ford Gym, complete with popcorn!

The annual PSO Christmas Bazaar is the “premier Christmas shopping experience in all of Shanghai” according to avid shoppers who come far and wide year after year for the experience. Concordia’s Phoenix Common area is transformed into a holiday shopping paradise. The selection is vast and unique, showcasing the high-quality talent of over 150 local and expat vendors. The only shortages on this day are cash in the ATM’s and arms to carry the purchases!

PSO Treat Sale proceeds supports school events and activities for our students including the PSO sponsored year-end parties for EC, ES, MS, ES spring carnival, MS activity nights, HS dances and tribe grants, as well as International Festival & Back to School Bash.
We need your help to donate treats, cupcakes and cookies on these dates, so mark your calendar for these events! December 14, 2018 and March 15, 2019

We are collecting old, new books; adult, kids and educational books. Clean off your bookshelves and bring donate your used books to support PSO work. There are Yellow and Blue bins labeled USED BOOKS in the following locations: outside the ES Commons near the nurse, the MS gym, downstairs in the Phoenix Commons, and first floor of the HS building near marketing with a huge white container, a yellow and a blue bin.
