Middle School Faculty Spotlight-Counselor Sarah Brooks

Sarah Brooks is originally from Gig Harbor, Washington. Sarah holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University and a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Whitworth University.  Sarah worked as a Mental Health Counselor and Case Manager before getting her License as a School Counselor in Washington state. She then worked as a middle school counselor in Washington for five years before making the move to Saudi Arabia to work at an international school as the Middle and High School Counselor where she has been most recently.

Sarah loves being a school counselor and is passionate about helping students as they grow, develop and discover who they are. She specifically enjoy the Middle School level and helping students to navigate the unique transitions through their Middle School years. In Middle school Sarah hopes to help support and teach students about the many tools they can use in life to get them through successes and challenges they may encounter daily.  Areas that Sarah has specific professional interests in and works to foster in students within school counseling are Mental Health Awareness, Healthy Coping Skills, Positive Self Talk and Confidence.

Sarah enjoys reading, being active, being outdoors, discovering new places, playing board games and having a good cup of coffee with friends. She joins Concordia with her husband, Craig (MS Math teacher), and three sons Paddy (10), Will (8) and Rueben (3). Sarah feels blessed to be a part of such a well-respected community.
