Chinese New Year Message

Dear Parents,

Chinese New Year is always one of my favorite times of year. Holidays that bring loved ones together are always fun to celebrate. The Chinese New Year holiday is one of the best holidays for doing just that!

This year is the Year of the Ox. Did you know that the ox is the second animal in the Chinese calendar? Legend has it that the Jade Emperor held a great race involving 12 animals. During the race, the ox was kind and helped the rat cross the river. The ox would have won the race, but the rat jumped off at the last moment to win the race.

Did you know that people born in the Year of the Ox tend to be decisive, honest, dependable, and hardworking? These are wonderful qualities to have. Are there any oxen in your family? What do you think? Are the oxen in your life decisive, honest, dependable, and hardworking?

There are many famous people who were born in the Year of the Ox. Here are some of the famous oxen: Walt Disney, Louis Armstrong, Princess Diana, the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang, and Vincent van Gogh. There are many other famous oxen throughout history. Who is your favorite?

I certainly hope that you will be able to spend time with your loved ones this holiday, either in person or online. There are so many blessings for us to be thankful for, and our families are such a great blessing. Please take time this year to appreciate your loved ones!

From the entire faculty and staff, we wish you all the best over this holiday. Please take care and stay safe!
