International Thespian Society

“Act well thy part; there all the honor lies.”

7 girls and 4 boys smilingThis is the motto of the International Thespian Society (ITS), an honorary organization for high school theatre students founded in 1929. ITS troupes are located at more than 3,600 affiliated secondary schools across the globe. Concordia’s registered chapter, dubbed “Incognito,” was officially chartered in 2010 and has honored a total of 51 thespians, ten of whom were Scholar Thespians.

Induction to the society, as well as the level of membership, is decided using a points-based system. Points are earned through participation in theatre productions, festivals/conferences, or troupe-managed activities. Concordia students have many opportunities every year to earn points toward induction, including but not limited to: the Fall Play, One-Act Plays, the APAC Theatre Festival, and the Spring Musical. Details concerning induction, participation, and membership benefits can be found in the links to the right.

ITS members for the the 2018-19 school year include Angela Wang, Everett Law, Marley Lagares, Alice Choi, Elizabeth Kim, Katia Borg, Susan Zalick, Liam Richmond, Aiyan Lanker, and Leslie Huang.
