Students at Concordia, like those around the world, participate in sports and activities for many reasons. Although we may sometimes focus on things like college applications and scholarships, teaching time management skills, or winning championships, yet another study has shown what the students really care about. The Aspen Institute, which is renowned for its Project Play surveys, recently found that the #1 reason why students engage in sports is to have fun (81%). This is unsurprising as a large study conducted 30 years ago found the same to be true.
