PSO Weekly Updates - Mar. 3

PSO Weekly Updates - Mar. 3

1) INTERNATIONAL DAY on Wednesday, March 22

As the day is fast approaching, all the planning is well underway. Booth and central committees are hard at work to put on a fun and delightful day for our students to celebrate diversity. So many decisions from how to best display each country’s beauty to provide a taste of each country’s delicious foods to games that children have grown-up within those countries. There are so many things to plan and so little time. Although hard at work, these parents don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy each other’s company and find pleasure in the process. ALL COMMITTEES are still looking for you! Please help with your time or resources – volunteer, donate or participate – every little assistance is welcomed and very much appreciated!

Congratulations and Thank You to our Brownies, Juniors, Seniors, Ambassador Troops and Parents for a successful Bake Sale last Phoenix Friday!

CISS Girl Scout has been working hard to raise funds since December 2022 to support Xiong Wei Xi, a 4-year-old girl from Yunnan Province in Tengchong, who has undergone a life-saving surgery last July 2022 at the Shanghai Children's Health Foundation. A big thanks to all of you who supported CISS GS and because of that, GS has achieved their goal and is now able to pay for her surgery!!! A HUGE THANK YOU from CISS GS to our amazing community!!!

7) PARENTS & ARAMARK work together for a nutritious and delicious meal

ES homeroom parents met at school with Aramark. With the school’s support, PSO organized a meal tasting for a group of homeroom parents. Parent-representatives had elementary school lunch set of the day whilst sharing feedback and suggestions. Aramark manager Chenhe shared their daily work procedure with parents and we had a great conversation. Our shared goal is to bring a heathy nutritious yet delicious meal to our children every day!

8) G5 PARENTS Coffee Meetup on Thursday, March 2

A few of the G5 parents met over coffee to discuss a few things. They pondered how to best engage both parents and school administrations for a better connection for the benefit of our children, especially now that the Concordia campus is accessible.
