Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team Scores Big Wins in Weekend Games

On February 24th and 25th, 2023, the girls’ varsity soccer team played three games. The first game was against SAS Pudong, which we won 2-1. On Saturday, February 25th, we had two games. The first game was against SAS Puxi, in which we lost 3-4. However, we made an incredible comeback during the game, with Veda Hayes scoring two goals in the last half. In the second game against BISS, we won 4-0. Valerie Hui scored one goal, Veda Hayes scored two goals, and Lilly Halula scored the last goal.

Overall, the team played exceptionally well this weekend, both on and off the field. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to play against other schools, something we have struggled with in recent years. We are looking forward to more games as the season progresses, with our sights set on the upcoming APAC tournament in Beijing.

As a team, we are committed to putting in the effort required to achieve our goals. We support each other wholeheartedly, and this weekend’s games demonstrated that we can work together effectively to overcome challenges. We are excited to see what the rest of the season holds and will continue to strive for excellence.
