Civil War Survivor and Author Mariatu Kamara Brings Her Message of Peace to Concordia
Mariatu Kamara is a UNICEF ambassador on behalf of children in armed conflict. She is a survivor of the Sierra Leone civil war and a powerful advocate for peace and justice. She came to Concordia as the keynote speaker for CISSMUN XI and the 2020 Shanghai Mini-GIN conferences in January, 2020. She also spent two days visiting classes and having conversations with Concordians about her story.
