Middle School

StuCo Steps Up to Improve School

While the school has been abuzz with activities, Middle School Student Council (STUCO) has also been busy with several interesting projects. Through the survey conducted a few weeks back, STUCO is trying to get student voices heard and make our school a better place. So far, STUCO is working on getting more basketballs for recess, as well as possibly extending library hours during lunch. We have also been told that bathroom hooks are being installed in all middle school bathroom stalls, which we hope will help make it more convenient for the students to hang jackets and coats.

Student Council representatives met with Mr. Coverdell to propose hook project.

Moving on to school spirit, we are working on our last STUCO Games assembly (for house points), as well as getting the details regarding the prize trophy that will be given as a reward to the winning grade. The winning grade will house the trophy the following year, and hopefully, bring it to STUCO assemblies to taunt their rivals.  STUCO is working on the inscription, size, and other details regarding the trophy. We hope that through this we can raise our school spirit and establish traditions that students in the following years can experience.

Besides organizing new games for house point assemblies, STUCO is also planning to host all Middle School assemblies beginning in April. Finally, STUCO is working on a “Name that Drink” project which will add new drinks to the menu in PC Café–more details will be sent out shortly.

Thank you to all faculty members, students, parents, and members of our community. Just remember, to be good and do good!
