Early Childhood

Thank You!

Dear Early Childhood Division Family,

Wow! Thank you for the great participation in EC Back-To-School Zooms this week. I know our Homeroom Teachers worked hard to prepare families with valuable information about learning and classroom practices. We always want families to be well-informed, so your engagement and participation in the event is appreciated.

One of the best ways to stay connected to your child’s learning is to read and understand information shared by teachers. An awareness of what your child is learning in school provides you with the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations at home, and you can use some of the learning concepts at home, too. When schools, teachers, and parents partner well together, children thrive and succeed well!

Another way to stay engaged is to monitor student learning via Seesaw. Teachers add in photos and descriptions that highlight learning for individual students, or the whole class. Again, we want parents to be well-informed, and the use of Seesaw helps achieve this goal.

Finally, I want to wish you all a happy, safe, and enjoyable October Holiday Break. May your time be one of joy and relaxation. Whether you are at home, or with family and friends, take some time to engage with your child. Read books together, play a game, create an art painting, or enjoy the outdoors…whatever you choose, your child will value the time with you!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership!
