An important part of a child’s social and emotional development is learning to have compassion for others. The simplest ways we can teach young learners about kindness is by modeling positive values in our daily interactions and by providing them with opportunities to practice these skills for themselves.
In the PreK Dragonfly Class, the students have been learning that the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. The children worked hard to come up with ideas that demonstrated their learning in a video that was shared at this week’s EC assembly. When we encourage acts of kindness we can help to make the world a brighter place.
