Parent Support Organization (PSO)

The Concordia Parent Support Organization (PSO), in partnership with the school, works to enhance the student experience, build a sense of international community, connect school needs with parent talent, encourage school spirit and raise funds to support class parties, school events, grants and special “one-time” purchases around school.

The Parent Support Organization (PSO) is composed of the parents of Concordia International School Shanghai.

The purpose of the PSO is to support the holistic experience of all members, but most specifically, the students of Concordia, by enhancing the student experience, building a sense of community, connecting school needs with parent talent, encouraging school spirit, and raising funds to support class parties, school events, grants and special “one time” purchases around the school.

The PSO at Concordia extends friendship and offers an opportunity to be active in the Concordia community. The PSO hosts regular meetings that provide a forum for sharing and updating schools news as well as PSO events. We welcome all families to the Concordia Community, and encourage you to participate in PSO events and connect with other new and returning parents.

PSO Back To School Bash

At the beginning of every school year the PSO at Concordia International School hosts a wonderful welcome Back To School Bash. This years Back To School Bash was held August 27th, 2011 on campus. The entire school community was invited. Businesses throughout the Jinqiao area came to show us what they have to offer. Health care providers, stores, even restaurants brought samples of their delicious food. It was a great way to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones. Click here for more detailed information.

PSO International Festival

This year’s International Festival was held on Friday, October 21, 2011, in the Frerking Middle School Gym. Students and parents visited booths prepared by Concordia parents and learned about some of the cultures that make up our diverse community. This year, the 19 countries showcased provided samples of regional foods, educational information, activities and performances related to their cultures. In celebration of this special day, all students were invited to enjoy International Free Dress and showed their spirit by wearing a country’s traditional dress, costume or colors!  Click here for detailed information.

Stay tuned for more details on The 3rd Annual PSO International Festival coming Fall 2012!
