Living in Shanghai

Between getting the kids up and out the door for school, heading to the grocery store for dinner ingredients, walking the dog, and going to the gym, life can appear almost too normal sometimes. What’s amazing about living in Shanghai, though, is that just around every bend there’s a wild adventure waiting for you. Take an early morning walk to the open-air, fresh produce market to test out your newly-acquired Chinese bargaining skills, then hop on the ultra-convenient subway to head to downtown Puxi for a trip to the fabric market and meet some friends for lunch and you begin to feel all the excitement and energy of the city. Most of the conveniences you’re used to at home are available to you in Shanghai and with an adventuresome spirit, you have the chance to make your time here an unforgettable part of your life journey.

Overheard around campus… “My friends back home are shocked when I tell them how ‘normal’ my life is here!”
