In Jinqiao alone, you will find restaurants catering to almost all taste buds—Chinese, Korean, American, Indian, Singaporean, Thai, Japanese, Swiss, Cantonese, Brazilian, Fusian, Tapas, Greek, and Mexican. When you want a quiet night in and a bit of home, there are half a dozen grocery stores in our neighborhood carrying a variety of local and imported products from around the world. Many families also encourage their Ayi to cook a few nights a week and may even teach her how to shop for and cook some of their family’s favorite home recipes (Community Center Shanghai sells a great bi-lingual cookbook!) Additionally, Concordia invites seasoned cooks from different countries to teach cooking classes each semester, giving you the chance to take advantage of living in such a diverse community and learn a new set of culinary skills from a pro.
