Concordia fields 27 High School teams and 14 Middle Schools teams.
The Concordia Phoenix Swim Club is a parent-run organization that has been formed to support children in the Concordia Community who are regular swimmers and who want an opportunity to participate in organized swim meets. It is open to ages ranging from Elementary through High School but swimmers should be at a competitive level before they get involved. This is NOT a learn-to-swim program. Swimmers should already know freestyle, backstroke and breastroke sufficiently. Knowing the butterfly is preferred but should at least be able to do the dolphin kick.
The Club works closely with the school but is organized and operated by parent volunteers. Participation involves supplemental fees. The Club provides support for entering swim meets and organizes adult volunteers during swim meets. Swimmers in this program should do so with the intent to compete in swim meets. Swimmers should be in regular training with a coach. See below information for practices.
The main objective for the Concordia Phoenix Swim Club is to support students in the Concordia Community who are regular trained swimmers to have an opportunity to participate and represent Concordia in organized swim meets. To represent Concordia Phoenix Swim Club in the meets, registration is required.
There are few swimming practice clubs available in JinQiao area. You are free to pick any swim practice club that meets your needs. Currently most of our swimmers are swimming at the Ambassy club of Green Villas with Elaine Swim Club or Multi-Sports. For younger swimmers, Multi-sport might be a good choice.

We offer a second program as well. The APAC Swim Team offers a 10-week season for training and competition for high school only as they compete in the high school APAC league.
Relocating to Shanghai doesn’t have to mean shelving all those years of Little League practices or gymnastics training. Over the years, many reputable organizations have been set up with the expat family in mind and Concordia fosters an environment that makes our families feel comfortable and prepared to stretch beyond the school grounds to get involved with (or start!) community programs. In addition to the excellent athletic programs offered by Concordia, there are organizations like those listed below to get your students on the fast track to physical health and fitness!
