Physical Education

Love of activity is best fostered in our youngest Concordia learners. Concordia’s Elementary School physical education program is specifically designed to introduce basic concepts of fitness, locomotor and non-locomotor skills as well as a variety of simple games that build cooperation, strategy and sportsmanship. Modifications and lead-up games are used when necessary in order to allow maximum participation, proper progression of skills and achievement. Academic subjects are integrated into physical education lessons whenever appropriate and when meaningful connections can be made. Students in Grades 1-4 attend three 30-minute PE classes every six days. Preschool and Kindergarten classes attend two 30-minute PE classes every six days. Concordia is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to promote optimum learning. [more..]
