Studies show that great facilities can improve a student’s learning. Concordia’s state-of-the-art facilities are purposely built with an environmental, self-sustainable focus, and are designed to give our students the best possible environment in which to learn, play and develop artistic passion.

Concordia’s ‘Living’ roofs and walls

  • Improves air quality. Filters CO2 and other pollutants naturally
  • The shading from foliage reduces the need for insulation and energy usage
  • Encourages local bio-diversity; becoming a habitat for birds, bees etc

Ground source heat exchange system (GSHE)

  • 112 miles of tubing installed by ACC, 82 yards below the outdoor recreation field
  • Water pumped through the pipes draws upon the earth’s stable temperature (62.6F)
  • Highly efficient, highly flexible—building can be heated or cooled with GSHE
  • Carbon reduced from Concordia’s GSHE is equal to planting 125,000 trees every year!

Technology Focus

  • The school is wired for technology to support the 2-to-1 computer ratio up through Grade 6 and the 1-to-1 laptop program from Grade 7.
  • An on-site Tech Hub provides tech support to students and service for their laptops.

In the Classroom

  • With four Science labs, a Science Rooftop, laminar flow station, gas chromatograph, two green rooms, a movie production studio and professional editing lab, our students can explore the natural and information sciences beyond what is offered in tradition classrooms.

Media Literacy

  • Our two libraries are home to mobile computer labs, a World Languages Corner, and more than 35,000 books and publications.

Indoor facilities

Outdoor facilities

  • a two-story rock climbing wall and
  • tennis courts constructed by the builders of the courts for the Shanghai Masters and the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Rittmann Center for the Fine Arts
