Decision Making

The single most important filter for all decision making at Concordia is student learning. How does the suggested strategic solution improve student learning? Which of the proposed facility plans will best support student learning? How do we implement parent feedback to improve communication to impact student learning?

We are intentional about enhancing the student experience and our three-fold, decision making practice involving school Administration, the Board and Parents reflects this focus:

  • The office of the Head of School manages the day-to-day life of the school in conjunction with the Elementary, Middle and High School Administrators;
  • The Head of School also serves as the Chairman of the Board and the Board provides oversight and governance to ensure the ongoing strength and stability of the school;
  • Parental input is encouraged in various ways including parent coffees, town hall meetings, teacher conferences, and active participation on strategic plan committees.
