Huge Grace
Huge Grace Orphanage is the home to 27 special needs orphans and is located by the Pudong airport. The goal for the funds raised by Concordia is two-fold. First, we are striving to fund dental care for the orphaned children as they have never been to the dentist. Second, we would like to fund seven orphans to attend “special needs” schools which costs about 2300RMB per month.

Mercy Fund
In 2005, The Roots and Shoots volunteer parent group of Concordia International School (now renamed the Mercy Fund) joined in helping out the leukemia kids and their families, bringing hope to those in desperate need. The Mercy Fund’s volunteer outreach support group (mostly expatriates) has grown to include parents at Shanghai American School, Shanghai International Singapore School, friends with Hands on Shanghai , as well as a few local Chinese volunteer supporters.
We are determined to make a difference with our smiles, field trips around Shanghai , gifts of toys and books, education on this disease, and other daily necessities on hygiene needed.

Yunnan Education Project (YEP)
The Yunnan Education Project (YEP) is a program dedicated to providing education to impoverished communities as well as to fostering social responsibility with the Concordia student body. YEP was founded by three students of Concordia in March 2002. On service trip of 10 students to ManPo minority village, the students became aware of a need for educational assistance, and, thus, started building a charitable organization that would provide opportunities for the children of Yunnan.
Concordia students continue to manage and support this service-learning program through fundraising and interim service projects. The interim service trips have grown from 10 students in 2002 to over 100 students in 2011. The program has grown from providing educational assistance to teaching english, building facilities, installing water projects, providing health kits and vision clinics, and much more.
